ServiceTitan pricing 2026: what it costs per tech, the fees that aren't on the page, and who it's built for

  • ServiceTitan publishes no prices. Every dollar figure below is tagged one of three ways: vendor-published (the package structure and what each package gates), analyst estimate (three 2026 breakdowns, named and dated), or owner-reported (a Reddit post or Capterra review, linked and dated). Nothing here came from a sales call.
  • I build Deepsel, maintenance-agreement software for the 1-4-truck shops ServiceTitan is priced above. It works beside Jobber or Housecall Pro, and it shows up in exactly one section of this page, labeled.

ServiceTitan pricing is quote-only. As of September 2026 the pricing page shows three per-technician packages (Starter, Essentials and The Works) with no numbers on any of them. Analyst estimates and owner reports put it at $245-500 per technician per month, plus a $5,000-50,000 implementation fee and a 12-month minimum contract. A 3-tech HVAC shop reported about $800 a month.

That's the answer. The rest of this page is what decides whether the number matters to you: what each package gates (memberships sit on the top one), the fees the quote adds after the demo, what owners say they pay, and where the people who run it draw the line on shop size.

What ServiceTitan's pricing page actually shows

Three packages, one button each, and the button says "Request Pricing." The page's only sentence about money is "Our per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size."1 The demo form underneath asks for your industry, how many techs you run, and whether you have at least one full-time office employee. Those three answers are the quote.

What the page does publish is the feature split, and it's worth reading closely, because the split is where the money hides:

Feature (as listed on servicetitan.com/pricing) Starter Essentials The Works
Dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, pricebook Yes Yes Yes
Mobile estimates No Yes Yes
Payroll management No Yes Yes (configurable payroll)
Advanced reporting No No Yes
Commission tracking No No Yes
Customizable memberships No No Yes
Price Request pricing Request pricing Request pricing

Read the last feature row twice. Customizable memberships, the module maintenance-heavy shops come to ServiceTitan for, is on The Works only.1 The help center uses the same package name when it gates other features ("This feature is available in the ServiceTitan Works package").2 So a shop that wants ServiceTitan for its agreements is pricing the most expensive package, not the entry one. What the module does once you have it, and what it still leaves to the office, is on the ServiceTitan memberships page.

How much does ServiceTitan cost per month? The estimates, and how far to trust them

Since the vendor won't say, three 2026 analyses built ranges from user reports, review sites and BBB filings. They agree with each other, which is less reassuring than it sounds: they draw on overlapping sources and partly cite one another. Treat the table as one consensus range, not three independent confirmations.

What you're buying Estimated cost Who reports it
Starter $245-300 per technician per month Projul and FieldCamp (both 2026); Tooled Up Pro says about $2455, 6, 7
Essentials $300-400 per technician per month All three5, 6, 7
The Works $400-500 per technician per month All three5, 6, 7
Implementation (one-time) $5,000-15,000 for small companies; up to $50,000+ for large ones All three5, 6, 7
Contract 12-month minimum, no month-to-month, no free trial All three; Capterra's product page lists "Free trial not available"5, 6, 14

The owner reports further down land inside those bands. A 3-tech shop at $800 a month is $267 per tech, Starter money.8 A 6-tech shop at $1,200 a month in late 2024 is $200 per tech, under the bottom of the 2026 range, which tells you two things: quotes move, and older contracts were cheaper.9

Per technician or per user?

ServiceTitan says per technician. Owners say per user. Both can be true. The pricing page prices the field, and the demo form's question about a full-time office employee is how the office gets priced.1 A commenter on a small electrical shop's thread in April 2026 summed up the feeling: ServiceTitan pricing "is genuinely brutal once you factor in per-user fees, onboarding costs, and annual contracts."12 Ask in the demo whether office logins count, and make the answer appear on the written quote.

The fees that aren't on the pricing page

Five of them, in rough order of how much they surprise people.

Implementation

A separate one-time fee. Tooled Up Pro's estimate for a small company is $5,000-15,000 over 3-6 months, rising to $50,000 or more for big multi-branch outfits.6 The 3-tech HVAC owner who tried it: "800/month and the onboarding alone took 6 weeks."8 Projul points to BBB complaints from contractors who paid a full year of subscription while still waiting to be onboarded.5 And a May 2026 Capterra review from the owner of a small appliance-repair startup: "Onboarding failed due to Service Titan's own delays, causing my technician to leave my business... I never went live and never used the service."14

The contract

Twelve months minimum in every analysis, with no month-to-month option.5, 6 Some owners find out it's longer. That same May 2026 reviewer: "I was not informed I was signing a 2-year contract."14 A Service Fusion user weighing the jump in October 2025: "I can pay 40k$ a year for service titan and be locked into a bs contract that gives them all the power."10 The end of the term is its own project, too. An owner who didn't plan to renew, September 2025, trying to export jobs, invoices and memberships: "I just spent 45 on hold only to get disconnected and then another 30 only to refer me to my CSM."15

Pro Products

ServiceTitan sells Marketing Pro, Contact Center Pro, Dispatch Pro, Scheduling Pro, Fleet Pro, Field Pro (formerly Sales Pro) and Pricebook Pro as separate add-ons, with no prices on the Pro page or anywhere else on the site.3 The analysts don't agree on what they cost. Tooled Up Pro estimates Marketing Pro at $500-1,500 a month, Phones Pro at $300-800 and Pricebook Pro at $200-500; Projul puts Marketing Pro at "~$2,000+/month."5, 6 A 2026 Capterra reviewer's cons line: "Not sure some of the pro products were suitable for us. I found onboarding to be challenging and wish I would have known more about what to expect."14 Budget on the high side and get each one on the quote.

Payments

ServiceTitan Payments doesn't publish rates either. The help center's answer to "What are your rates?" is "We offer competitive, custom pricing for our merchants," followed by an email address.4 Two things it does say. ServiceTitan itself adds no fee on card transactions, so the processor's rate is the whole cost. And the account-updater feature that keeps stored cards current, the one membership billing leans on, carries "additional fees."4 Cards run through TSYS or Adyen, bank payments through ProfitStars.4

The people

This one never shows on a quote. A 6-tech shop in November 2024: "right now I have 6 guys on ST and my bill is 1200. BUT. I pay for a company called titan pro technologies with is 3000 a month and they have honestly helped so much. I dont think I would do ST without them."9 A former admin at a $40 million HVAC company, October 2025: "The license fees are crazy high, and you'll need to add at least 1-2 back end staff to handle all the extra work ST throws at you to make an accurate financial statement."10 The software is the smaller half of the bill.

ServiceTitan pricing on Reddit: what owners say they pay

Threads on r/ProHVACR, r/smallbusiness, r/QuickBooks and r/hvacadvice, pulled live on September 2, 2026. The dollar figures are the posters' own.

  • 3 techs, HVAC, April 2026: "Tried servicetitan and it was way too much software for a shop our size, 800/month and the onboarding alone took 6 weeks."8
  • 6 techs, HVAC, November 2024: $1,200 a month for the software plus $3,000 a month for a ServiceTitan consultancy.9 The Housecall Pro shop he was advising: "I just can't stomach jumping from $300/month to $3000/month."9
  • A 3-plumber shop's quote, July 2026: "ServiceTitan can cost anywhere from $250-500 per technician per month (based on the package)... these features are designed for large companies, not 3 man shops."11
  • Service Fusion shop pricing the move, October 2025: "40k$ a year."10
  • Three years in, August 2026: "Our contract is about to run out and we can't wait to be done. It started the same for us. It never got better."12
  • Capterra, VP of Operations at a construction company that switched from Housecall Pro, March 2026: the bugs make it "not worth five times the cost of Housecall Pro."14 A director two-plus years in, same month, rating it five stars, lists one con: "Price."14

Two things hold across all of it. The people who say it's worth the money run dispatchers and admins. The people who regret it are under five trucks.

The real total cost for a 3-truck shop

Three techs, an owner who also runs calls, one office manager. Using the analyst ranges, with the small-company implementation band:

Line item Essentials (estimate) The Works, the package with memberships (estimate) Notes
Software, per month $900-1,200 $1,200-1,500 3 techs at $300-400 or $400-500; office logins may add to it
Software, per year $10,800-14,400 $14,400-18,000 12-month minimum
Implementation, one-time $5,000-15,000 $5,000-15,000 Six weeks to six months, subscription billed throughout
Pro Products $0 unless added $0 unless added Marketing Pro alone: $500-2,000+/month, estimated
Card processing Quoted Quoted Rate not published. At 2.9% (my assumption, the small-shop FSM rate), $420,000 of card volume is about $12,200 a year
Year one, before Pro Products and processing $15,800-29,400 $19,400-33,000 Year two drops the implementation fee

For scale: the same shop on Jobber Connect (up to 5 users, $149 a month on annual billing) or Housecall Pro Essentials (5 users, $149) spends $1,788 a year on software. Add a membership layer at $79 a month and it's $2,736. ServiceTitan's year one is six to twelve times that, and year two is still four to seven times, for a package that includes a real dispatch board, call recording, commission tracking and a membership module the small-shop tools don't have. Whether that trade is worth it comes down to truck count.

Who should pay it: the four-van rule

The most useful sizing advice I've found comes from a contractor running about 2,500 members on ServiceTitan, answering an owner who asked how to manage maintenance agreements: "I wouldn't make the jump to service Titan until you've got at least four vans on the road with 300 to 500 maintenance agreements."13 Projul draws its line higher, at 10-plus techs and $3 million in revenue.5 And a commenter on the 3-tech thread put the operational version plainly: "servicetitan is built for operations with a dedicated dispatcher and someone managing the platform full time. three techs including yourself is not that."8

  • 1-3 trucks. The reported year-one bill is $16,000-33,000, and the platform assumes an office you don't have. Every owner at this size in the threads above either dropped it or wishes they hadn't signed.
  • 4-6 trucks with 300+ maintenance agreements. This is where it starts to pencil. Price The Works (memberships live only there), budget for a consultant or an admin, and negotiate the term.
  • 8+ trucks. ServiceTitan is the default for a reason. The per-tech model stops hurting once each truck does $400,000+ a year, and the reporting earns its keep.

If ServiceTitan priced you out of a membership module

This is the part I have a product in, so weigh it accordingly.

The gap ServiceTitan leaves is specific. A 2-4-truck shop with 100-300 maintenance agreements needs the membership ledger badly and needs the rest of The Works hardly at all. Jobber and Housecall Pro cost a tenth as much and have no agreement object worth the name: Jobber has none, and Housecall Pro gates Service Plans behind its $299 Max tier and invoices plan visits at $0.00. So the shop tracks who's due in a spreadsheet, renewal dates slip through the cracks, and when a card fails nobody really has a system.

Deepsel is that ledger, priced for the shop ServiceTitan turned away. Starter is $79 a month, Pro $159 (coming soon), unlimited users, and no percentage of your membership revenue. It keeps each agreement's plan, tier, covered equipment, card on file and visits owed vs delivered. It charges renewals on the card, retries when a card fails, and flags the ones that stay failed. Each spring and fall it emails every member who's due a booking reminder (texts on Pro), and it warns you before a paid visit expires. Jobber shops get booked visits written back as jobs on Pro; Housecall Pro shops get reminders that carry their own booking link, with native sync planned. If you're already on ServiceTitan, there is no integration: you'd import an export, and the office would key booked visits into ServiceTitan as normal jobs.

The math for the 3-truck shop above: Jobber Connect or Housecall Pro Essentials at $149, plus Deepsel Starter at $79, is $228 a month, against an estimated $1,200-1,500 for The Works. The full tier-by-tier numbers are on the Jobber pricing and Housecall Pro pricing pages, and the pick-by-shop-size roundup is best HVAC maintenance agreement software.

Frequently asked questions

How much does ServiceTitan cost per month?

ServiceTitan doesn't publish it. Third-party analyses (Projul, Tooled Up Pro and FieldCamp, all 2026) put the base at $245-300 per technician per month on Starter, $300-400 on Essentials and $400-500 on The Works.5, 6, 7 A 3-tech HVAC owner on Reddit reported about $800 a month in April 2026.8 Implementation and Pro Products are extra.

Does ServiceTitan charge per user or per technician?

ServiceTitan's pricing page calls it per-technician pricing, and the demo form asks how many techs you run and whether you have a full-time office employee.1 Owners describe the result as per-user fees. Ask in the demo whether office logins are counted, and get the answer on the written quote.

Does ServiceTitan have a minimum contract?

Yes, by every account. The three 2026 analyses all report a 12-month minimum with no month-to-month option, and a May 2026 Capterra review comes from an owner who says he signed a 2-year term without realizing it.14 There is no free trial. Read the term length before you sign and ask about early-termination fees.

Does ServiceTitan charge for onboarding or implementation?

Yes. Implementation is a separate one-time fee that analysts put at $5,000-15,000 for small companies and up to $50,000 or more for large ones.6 A 3-tech shop reported six weeks of onboarding; larger shops describe 3-12 months, and you pay the subscription the whole time.

How much is ServiceTitan for a small business with 2 or 3 trucks?

Using the reported ranges, 3 techs on Essentials is $900-1,200 a month in software, or $1,200-1,500 on The Works (the only package with memberships), plus a $5,000-15,000 implementation fee. Call it $16,000-33,000 in year one before card processing and Pro Products. The same shop on Jobber or Housecall Pro pays about $1,800 a year.

What percentage does ServiceTitan take on payments?

ServiceTitan Payments doesn't publish rates. Its help center says merchants get "competitive, custom pricing" and to email the payments team for a quote.4 ServiceTitan itself adds no per-transaction fee on top of the processor's, and the account-updater feature for stored cards carries an additional fee. Get the rate in writing with the quote.

Is ServiceTitan worth it under 4 trucks?

Owners who run it say no. A contractor with about 2,500 members put the line at four vans and 300-500 maintenance agreements.13 A 3-tech HVAC owner dropped it after six weeks of onboarding at $800 a month.8 Below that size the platform expects a dedicated dispatcher and someone managing it full time.

How does ServiceTitan compare to Jobber and Housecall Pro on price?

For a 3-truck shop: Jobber Connect is $149 a month for up to 5 users on annual billing, Housecall Pro Essentials is $149 for 5 users, and ServiceTitan is an estimated $900-1,500 a month for 3 techs plus implementation. ServiceTitan buys a bigger system. Whether the extra $10,000-30,000 a year earns its keep depends on truck count. The plan-focused head-to-head of the two smaller tools is Jobber vs Housecall Pro for maintenance plans.
