Kickserv pricing 2026: Start, Run and Scale, the fees behind them, and the one feature Kickserv doesn't have

  • Prices are Kickserv's published list prices, pulled from its pricing page, its pricing FAQ and its help center on September 2, 2026. Anything from a third party or a Reddit user is labeled as such.
  • I build Deepsel, maintenance agreement software that runs beside field service tools like Kickserv. That's relevant to one section of this page, and it's labeled.

Kickserv pricing, verified September 2026: Start is $60 a month billed annually ($75 month to month) for 5 users, Run is $119 ($149) for 10 users, and Scale is $199 ($249) for 20 users. Every plan has a 30-day free trial and no contract. Card processing runs 2.9% + 30¢ in person and 3.9% + 30¢ online. No plan includes service agreements or memberships.1

Kickserv is one of the cheaper field service tools a 1-4 truck shop can run. The bill you actually pay is mostly processing, and the plan cards leave out the fees that matter more than the $59 gap between tiers. This page covers all of it, then what to do about maintenance agreements, because Kickserv has nothing built for them.

Every Kickserv plan and price

Kickserv sells by plan, and each plan comes with a user band. You don't buy seats. The first price in each row is the annual rate shown per month; the second is month to month with no commitment. Annual saves 20% across the board.1

Plan Users Billed annually Month to month What it adds
Start 5 $60/mo ($720/yr) $75/mo Scheduling, estimates, invoicing, Customer Center, mobile apps, embeddable contact form, automated email and text reminders, 20+ reports, time and expense tracking, QuickBooks Online sync, Tap to Pay and ACH
Run 10 $119/mo ($1,428/yr) $149/mo Everything in Start plus dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom data fields, custom reports, QuickBooks Desktop sync ($50/mo extra)
Scale 20 $199/mo ($2,388/yr) $249/mo Everything in Run plus custom templates and review requests

Two plans sit off the pricing page. Flex is described on Kickserv's own blog as $19 a month, with the fee waived in any month you push $2,500 or more in online payments through Kickserv.2, 3 The pricing page doesn't say what Flex caps (its plan table has a "max jobs" row, so assume a job limit) and I couldn't confirm the user count, so ask before you count on it. Premium exists too. It's referenced in the Kickback program and the signup flow, and Kickserv's Stripe page advertises card rates "as low as 2.5% + 30 cents for Kickserv Premium subscribers," but there's no published price.4

If a review you're reading mentions Lite, Standard or Business, those are today's Start, Run and Scale.2

How Kickserv bills, and what "no contract" means

Who counts as a user? Kickserv's answer: "Anyone that you add to your Kickserv account as an employee, to view or work on customers or jobs." Office staff included. Five users covers a 3-truck shop with someone in the office and one spare login. User 6 is the expensive one, because it moves you to Run.1

There's no contract to sign on monthly billing. Cancel any time and you keep access until the renewal date, and if you forget to cancel and haven't touched the account, Kickserv says it will refund the unused month. Annual is different: paid up front, not prorated, not refundable, and the terms of service add that an annual term can't be converted to monthly until it renews.1, 5 Trial on monthly, then switch to annual once you know you're staying.

One discount worth knowing about: Kickserv Kickback. Process $1,000 a month in online payments on Start ($2,000 on Run, $3,000 on Scale) and that month's subscription is 5% off, applied automatically.2 It's $3 a month on Start, but it tells you where Kickserv makes its margin. Which brings us to processing.

The fees that don't show on the plan cards

The plan cards say "credit card rate" without a number. The number is in the pricing FAQ, and it depends on how the card is taken:1

  • Tap to Pay in the mobile app: 2.9% + 30¢. The tech taps the customer's card in the driveway.
  • Card-not-present: 3.9% + 30¢. Any card paid online through the Customer Center or a payment request. This is the rate most emailed invoices land on.
  • American Express: 5.2% + 30¢ on some accounts.
  • ACH bank payment: 1% + 30¢, included on every plan.6
  • Instant payouts: +1.5% per transaction on qualified Stripe accounts. Klarna financing runs a 5.99% merchant rate.7

You can push some of this back onto the customer. Kickserv lets you add an online payment fee of up to 4% (or a flat fee of at least $1) to all invoices or selected ones, and it syncs the fee line to QuickBooks Online.8 Whether your customers tolerate a 3.9% surcharge on a $180 tune-up is your call.

The other line items: QuickBooks Desktop sync is $50 a month on Run and above (QuickBooks Online sync is included from Start).1 Customer reminders send as both email and text, and I found no per-text fee on the pricing page or in the help center.9

The real total cost (worked example: 3-truck shop)

Take a 3-truck HVAC shop: three techs and an office manager, so 4 users, comfortably inside Start. Say it does $600,000 a year and collects half of that, $300,000, through Kickserv online on about 1,200 invoices.

Line item Per year Notes
Software, Start on annual $720 $684 with Kickback. Month to month is $900
Card processing, if invoices are paid online ~$12,060 $300,000 × 3.9% + 1,200 × 30¢
Card processing, if techs Tap to Pay on site ~$9,060 $300,000 × 2.9% + 1,200 × 30¢
Bank payments instead ~$3,360 1% + 30¢. Big-ticket installs belong here
Extra users $0 Until user 6, which is Run: $59/mo more on annual
Total, online card payments ~$12,780 The subscription is about 6% of it

Read the middle rows. The subscription tier barely moves the bill. The way the card is taken moves it by $3,000 a year, and moving install deposits to ACH moves it by more than the entire Run upgrade costs. If you want a cheaper Kickserv, put Tap to Pay on every truck before you think about plans.

Which plan by truck count

  • Solo or 2 trucks: Start, annual, $60 a month. Five users is more than you'll use.
  • 3-4 trucks: Still Start if you're at 5 users or under. Move to Run when you hit user 6, or when you want custom fields and custom reports. That second reason matters for maintenance agreements, as you'll see below.
  • 5+ trucks: Run's 10 users, then Scale at 11.

Reddit puts Kickserv in the "honest on pricing" bucket. An electrician advising a 2-person shop in July 2026: "Kickserv and FieldPulse are pretty honest on pricing."10 Someone running a family HVAC business on it since 2025: "I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend per month for a CRM platform."11 And a plumber with 3 techs and a dispatcher, after a ServiceTitan demo: it "would have been $2800 a month for a few extra bells and whistles compared to what we pay for kickserv that does what we need it to."12 (The ServiceTitan pricing page has that math in full.)

Does Kickserv have service agreements or maintenance plans?

No. As of September 2026 there is no service agreement, membership or maintenance plan object on any Kickserv tier. I checked the pricing page and its plan table, the HVAC industry page, and the help center. Searching the help center for "service agreement," "membership" and "contract" returns the terms of service and the data processing agreement, and nothing else.1, 13 Kickserv's own HVAC growth post tells you to sell agreements ("You can increase your CLV by introducing service agreements and maintenance plans") without pointing at a feature, because there isn't one.13

Kickserv isn't unusual here. Jobber has no agreement object either, and Housecall Pro gates its module behind the $299 Max tier (details on the Housecall Pro service plans page). What Kickserv has is recurring jobs, so it's worth being exact about what those do.

What Kickserv recurring jobs do, and don't

On any scheduled job, hit "Repeat this job," pick a frequency, refine it by date or day of the week, and set an end date.14 Kickserv's own description of the feature, from the post that launched it: "meant to automate the task of creating duplicate ongoing jobs for scheduling purposes that are predetermined." It assumes the service, time, assigned tech and charges stay the same each time.15 The newer jobs page lets you attach recurring charges and technicians to the series.16 Customers get an automatic email and text 48 hours before each scheduled job.9 The full walkthrough of Kickserv recurring jobs, from setup to editing a series to what they can't do, is here.

That's scheduling. A maintenance agreement is a different object, and recurring jobs don't hold any of it:

  • No scheduled billing. Each occurrence produces its own invoice, which the customer pays through a payment request, the Customer Center or Tap to Pay. There's no card-on-file charge that fires on the renewal date, and nothing happens when a card fails except an unpaid invoice.7, 16
  • No renewal date. The series has an end date, but nobody is told when it's coming.
  • No count of visits owed vs delivered. If a spring tune-up gets cancelled, the fall one still shows up on the calendar as if nothing happened.
  • No member discount. Plan pricing on repairs is a note in the customer record and a tech's memory.

An office manager at a contracting company, reviewing Kickserv on Capterra after 2+ years, liked "the fact that you can recall your customers yearly maintenance appointment by the month." Her con: "we had to pay extra for the clients recall."17 Recall by month is the ceiling. The renewal ledger, who's due, which visits are still owed: those live somewhere else.

Five workarounds inside Kickserv

If you're staying on Kickserv (and at $60 a month for 5 users, you probably should), this is the setup that keeps agreements from slipping through the cracks.

  1. One recurring job per agreement visit, named by plan. "Gold plan, spring tune-up," repeating every 6 months, with the end date set to the agreement's end.14
  2. A contact tag per plan tier. Kickserv has contact tags for customers and work tags for jobs. Tag every member "Agreement" plus their tier, and the Customers page filtered by tag becomes your member list. Paid accounts also get two revenue-by-tag reports.18
  3. Custom fields on the customer for the ledger (Run and above). Renewal date, visits included, visits delivered, tier, filter sizes. Custom fields sit on Run and Scale; Start doesn't have them, so on Start this step is a spreadsheet.1, 19
  4. Invoice the plan fee and let automatic reminders chase it. There's no scheduled card charge, so send the renewal as an invoice or payment request and turn on automatic invoice reminders, which nudge unpaid balances every 3 to 60 days.16 Renewals you have to ask for lose members; expect it and call the ones who go quiet.
  5. A first-Monday due list. Once a month, filter customers whose renewal-date field falls in the next 60 days and check each one's recurring series for a visit that got cancelled and never rebooked. That's the check that catches a paid visit before it expires. If it sounds like a spreadsheet, it is: the free one here has the who's-due filter built in.

Running maintenance agreements beside Kickserv

This is the part I have a product in, so weigh it accordingly. Deepsel is a membership layer that works beside Kickserv. There's no Kickserv integration today, and I'd rather say that plainly than imply one. What it does is hold the object Kickserv doesn't have:

  • Import, don't retype. Export your customer list from Kickserv's Account & Billing tab (or upload the spreadsheet you're already keeping) and Deepsel builds the agreement ledger: plan, tier, covered equipment, visits owed vs delivered per unit, card on file, renewal date.19
  • Renewals that charge themselves. Card-on-file billing on the renewal date, with retries and a failed-payment flag so a declined card is a task, not a silent lapse.
  • Visits that get booked. Each spring and fall, every member with a visit owed gets a reminder email (a text on Pro) carrying your own booking link, which can be your Kickserv contact form, or your office number. Your office puts the visit on the Kickserv schedule as a normal job. Deepsel warns you before a paid visit expires.

Kickserv keeps customers, scheduling, invoicing and QuickBooks. Deepsel keeps the agreements. Start at $60 plus Deepsel Starter at $79 is $139 a month for both, with unlimited Deepsel users and no percentage taken on membership revenue. The cheapest FSM tier I've priced on this site with a built-in service plan module is Housecall Pro Max at $299.20 Deepsel is $79/mo on Starter and $159/mo on Pro (coming soon), 14-day free trial, no card; details on the pricing page.

Running 100+ agreements Kickserv Start alone ($60/mo) Kickserv Start + Deepsel Starter ($139/mo)

Frequently asked questions

How much is Kickserv per month?

As of September 2026: Start $60 a month billed annually or $75 month to month (5 users), Run $119 or $149 (10 users), Scale $199 or $249 (20 users). Annual saves 20%. Flex is $19 a month per Kickserv's blog but isn't on the pricing page, and Premium has no published price.1, 3

Is Kickserv free?

Every plan has a 30-day free trial, no card required. There's no free plan on the pricing page. The Flex plan's $19 fee is waived in any month you process $2,500 or more in online payments through Kickserv, which is the closest thing to free ongoing use.2, 3

How many users does Kickserv include?

Start 5, Run 10, Scale 20. Anyone added as an employee to view or work on customers or jobs counts. The pricing page lists no per-seat add-on, so user 6 means Run and user 11 means Scale.1

Does Kickserv have a free trial or a contract?

30-day trial, full access. No contract on monthly billing; cancel any time and keep access to the renewal date. Annual is paid up front, isn't prorated or refunded, and can't be switched to monthly until it renews.1, 5

What does Kickserv charge for payments?

Nothing on the subscription side. Through its Stripe integration: 2.9% + 30¢ for Tap to Pay, 3.9% + 30¢ for cards paid online, 5.2% + 30¢ on American Express for some accounts, 1% + 30¢ for ACH, and 1.5% extra for instant payouts. You can pass up to 4% back to the customer as an online payment fee.1, 6, 7, 8

Does Kickserv have service agreements or maintenance plans?

No, on any tier. Recurring jobs repeat a scheduled job on an interval; they don't bill a card, track a renewal date or count visits owed. The five workarounds above are what shops do inside Kickserv, and Deepsel runs the agreement ledger beside it.

Do Kickserv recurring jobs auto-bill the customer?

No. Each occurrence generates its own invoice and the customer pays it through a payment request, the Customer Center or Tap to Pay. Kickserv has no scheduled card-on-file charge, so a membership fee is invoiced and chased like any other invoice.7, 16

How do Kickserv shops track maintenance agreements?

Recurring job per visit, a contact tag per tier, custom fields for the renewal date and visit counts (Run and above), and a monthly due list, usually with a spreadsheet beside it. The best HVAC maintenance agreement software roundup compares that setup with the tools built for it.
