FieldEdge pricing 2026: what shops actually pay per user, the setup fee, and the contract you're signing

  • FieldEdge doesn't publish prices, so this page has two kinds of numbers. Anything from fieldedge.com (plan gates, included licenses, contract terms) is vendor-published and marked as such. Every dollar figure comes from a third-party review or from a contractor quoting their own bill, with the source and date beside it. If your quote differs, email me and I'll add it.
  • I build Deepsel, a maintenance-agreement tool that works beside FieldEdge. That's relevant to one section of this page, and it's labeled.

FieldEdge pricing is quote-only. As of September 2, 2026, all three plans (Select, Premier and Elite) say "Request Pricing." Contractors and third-party reviews put it at roughly $100-150 per office user and $100-125 per technician a month, plus a one-time implementation fee of $500-6,000, on a term that auto-renews for 12 months unless you cancel in writing 60 days ahead.

One real bill, to anchor those ranges. An HVAC shop owner on r/ProHVACR in June 2024 was paying $350 a month for one office login and three techs, and had been told adding a fourth tech and more office seats would push it to "500 plus a month."4 That's the most concrete FieldEdge number I found anywhere, and it comes in under the estimate sites. Keep it in mind as you read the tables.

What are the FieldEdge plans, and what does each one include?

Three tiers, none with a price. Here's what FieldEdge's own pricing page shows for each, pulled September 2, 2026.1 The rows that decide your bill are the included mobile licenses and the service-agreement level.

*Warehouse inventory needs QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Advanced Inventory. Every plan gets an onboarding specialist and access to Navigator, the video knowledge base. There's no free trial on any tier. FieldEdge's reason, from its own FAQ: "we find new members have the most success when our team walks you through the onboarding process."1

Look at the license counts. Select ships with two mobile licenses, Premier with four, Elite with six, and Premier's feature list adds "Additional Mobile App Licenses" as a line item.1 So a three-tech shop on Select is already buying at least one extra seat, and the flat per-user models on the estimate sites are a simplification of a base-plus-seats quote. Ask for the seat math in writing.

How much does FieldEdge cost per user?

Here's the sourced range, with who reported it and when. None of these is FieldEdge's number.

Line Reported cost Who reported it
Office (desktop) user $100-150 a month each fieldservicetools.com review, 2026;5 $100 per serviceagent.ai6 and Housecall Pro's FieldEdge write-up7
Technician (mobile) license $100-125 a month each Same three sources; $125 is the number two of them agree on5, 6, 7
One real bill $350 a month for 1 office login + 3 techs (about $88 a seat) HVAC shop owner, r/ProHVACR, June 20244
Add-on modules (call recording, marketing, reporting) $19-99 a month each serviceagent.ai, 20266
Training beyond the included onboarding About $150 an hour serviceagent.ai, 20266

Two things the table hides. First, the tier barely moves the per-user number. serviceagent.ai's read is that "Select, Premier and Elite charge the same per user and differ in what they include," which matches FieldEdge's own FAQ: price varies with "how many technicians or employees are on your team, and which add-ons you might need."1, 6 Second, FieldEdge charges for office seats, which Jobber and Housecall Pro bundle. A shop with a dispatcher, a bookkeeper and an owner who wants a login is paying for three desktop users before a single tech signs in.

Whether that feels expensive depends on where you came from. A sales and inventory manager at an electrical company, six months in, wrote on Capterra in May 2020: "It is VERY expensive per month per user."8 An office manager at a construction company that had moved off ServiceTitan wrote the same spring: "FieldEdge at the time seemed most comparable to ServiceTitan and was far more reasonable with cost for us since we are smaller."8 Both are right. FieldEdge sits above Jobber and Housecall Pro and below ServiceTitan, and your last software decides which gap you notice.

Is there a FieldEdge setup fee?

Yes, and the reported size varies more than any other line. Housecall Pro's write-up and serviceagent.ai both put initial setup at $500-2,000, toward the top if you take the implementation training plan.6, 7 fieldservicetools.com's 2026 review reconstructs a $4,000-6,000 implementation fee from "user reports, contract leaks, and forum discussions," and says it's negotiable on a longer term.5 A Capterra reviewer in January 2022 named a real figure: $1,500 in onboarding fees, which they say FieldEdge kept after a data migration from ServiceTitan that never produced usable data.8

What the fee buys is a five-week implementation: converting your data, configuring the system, and training office staff and techs.7 Two contract details matter here. FieldEdge's terms say both sides agree a "target go live date," and if setup slips because of something on your side, FieldEdge can charge "its reasonable costs associated with the Set-Up Services to that date on a time and materials basis."2 And per serviceagent.ai, "the subscription clock starts during setup, not at go-live," so budget for a month or so of fees before the software is running your board.6

Does FieldEdge require a contract?

This is where the estimate sites disagree with each other, so I read FieldEdge's own Terms of Service (last updated October 2023, and still the version linked from the site's footer today).2 The terms are built around an "Initial License Period" set in your order form. After that:

  • Auto-renewal. "This Agreement will automatically renew for successive periods of 12 months... unless either party provides written notice of termination to the other party at least 60 days prior to the expiration of the Initial License Period or any Renewal Period."2
  • Early exit. The Early Termination Fee is "the relevant monthly Fees multiplied by the number of months remaining" in the current period. Leave in month four of a 12-month term and you owe eight months.2
  • Price increases. FieldEdge can raise fees on two months' notice. If the increase is above CPI you can terminate without penalty, but only by writing back within 10 days of the notice.2
  • Downgrades. Allowed "at the end of your current contract period," per the pricing FAQ. Upgrades any time.1
  • Late payments. Interest at 1% a month on overdue balances.2

So the honest answer is: some shops report month-to-month deals (Housecall Pro's page says billing is month to month, and a 2020 Capterra reviewer chose FieldEdge because it "didn't require a contract"), but the paper you sign defines a term, an auto-renewal and a termination fee.7, 8 Whatever the rep says about flexibility, ask for the Initial License Period on the order form and put the 60-day notice date in your calendar the day you sign. An office manager who asked to cancel in 2024 because the product didn't match the pitch was told, in her words, "it was our disconnect and we signed a contract."8

What does FieldEdge charge for payment processing?

FieldEdge Payments, "powered by Xplor Pay," publishes no rate. Its page promises next-day funding and "rates tailored to your transaction volume."3 The Terms of Service describe a Stripe connected account underneath.2 Users who've been through it report 2.7% to 3.4%. One Software Advice reviewer: "We were told we would pay 2.7% using Clearent, FieldEdge's owners, but they charged us 3.4% right off the bat."9 (Clearent was the processor before the Xplor Pay branding. The complaint is about the gap between the quoted rate and the billed one, and that gap is the thing to pin down in writing.)

On $15,000 a month of card volume, the difference between 2.7% and 3.4% is $105 a month, or $1,260 a year. Not the biggest line on the bill. It is the one nobody brings up on the demo.

What does FieldEdge really cost a 3-truck shop? A worked estimate

Take a shop with three techs, an owner who dispatches, and a part-time bookkeeper who needs a login: two office users, three mobile licenses. Card volume of $15,000 a month. Every number below is the sourced range from the sections above, and none of it is a FieldEdge quote. Your real number will land inside these lines or below them; the June 2024 shop paid less than the low end for four seats.

Line item Low High Basis
Office users (2) $200/mo $300/mo $100-150 each5, 6, 7
Technicians (3) $300/mo $375/mo $100-125 each5, 6, 7
Subscription, per year $6,000 $8,100 $500-675 a month
Implementation (year one only) $500 $6,000 Reported spread5, 6, 7
Card processing, per year $4,860 $6,120 2.7-3.4% of $180,0009
Add-ons (Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge) $0 About $1,200/yr "Call for pricing" below Elite;1 $19-99 a month each reported6
Year one, all in About $11,400 About $21,400 Estimate
Year two onward About $10,900 About $15,400 Implementation drops off

The middle of that range is about $1,100 a month in year one. Set it next to the $350 subscription the Reddit shop reported and you can see why quotes feel so far apart: the software is the smaller half of the bill once processing and implementation are counted. That's the same lesson as the Jobber and Housecall Pro pricing pages, with one difference. Neither of those has an implementation fee or a termination fee.

Which shops should buy FieldEdge?

FieldEdge draws the line itself. Select is "essential tools," Premier is for "established multi-truck operations," Elite is for "large-scale multi-truck companies."1 Reading what owners write on Capterra and Reddit, the shops that get their money's worth look like this:

  • You run the books in QuickBooks Desktop and want the live sync. That's the whole case fieldservicetools.com makes for it, and FieldEdge's own warehouse inventory feature only works with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.1, 5
  • You have four to ten techs and dedicated office staff, so per-seat pricing is spread across enough revenue. Premier's four included mobile licenses map to that shop.1
  • You sell maintenance agreements and want the agreement module in the same system as dispatch. "Advanced Service Agreements" is the Premier feature that pulls shops up a tier, and the section below is about what you get once you've paid for it.1

At one to three trucks the math gets harder. Two office users and three techs at the reported rates is $500-675 a month before the setup fee, against $149-199 a month for Housecall Pro Essentials or Jobber Connect at five users, both with no implementation fee and no 12-month lock. The r/ProHVACR owner at exactly that size in June 2024 put the feeling plainly: "I don't like paying this for difficult software that no one likes."4 A ServiceTitan user in the same thread reported "3 office access accounts and 6 techs, we pay about $1,800/month," which is the rung above FieldEdge on the ladder.4

FieldEdge service agreements: what "Basic" vs "Advanced" means for your bill

This is the part I have a product in, so weigh it accordingly.

The pricing table lists Service Agreements as "Basic" on Select and "Advanced" on Premier and Elite, and that is all it says.1 FieldEdge's help content lives in Navigator, a members-only knowledge base, so there's no public document spelling out what Basic leaves out. I searched fieldedge.com for it on September 2, 2026 and found a service-agreement sales kit and a few blog posts about selling agreements, nothing on the feature split. Get the list from the rep before you decide whether agreements alone justify Premier.

And ask how the module behaves once your whole book is in it. An office manager at a shop where "90% of our service here is dependent on our maintenance contracts" wrote this in August 2024, shortly after moving to FieldEdge:

"Putting in the agreements, the dates change for seemingly no reason, they'll switch to inactive if the maintenance isn't scheduled by the set reminder date, and half the time I try to save an agreement it just gives me errors over and over again and then change the dates that I had set and saves."10

I go through that thread, the tier split, and what each version of the module does and doesn't track on the FieldEdge service agreements page.

Where Deepsel fits: it's maintenance agreement software that works beside FieldEdge, on any tier. There's no FieldEdge integration, so here's exactly how it runs. You import the customer and agreement list from FieldEdge's export or from a spreadsheet. Deepsel keeps the agreement ledger (plan, tier, covered equipment, visits owed vs delivered, card on file, renewal date), charges renewals on the card with retries and a flag when a card fails, and each spring and fall emails every member who's due a reminder carrying your booking link or phone number (texts on Pro). The office enters booked visits in FieldEdge as normal jobs, so dispatch doesn't change. Starter is $79 a month with unlimited users, a 14-day free trial and no card up front; the plan split is here. I won't price a FieldEdge-plus-Deepsel stack for you, because FieldEdge won't publish the first half of it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does FieldEdge cost per month?

FieldEdge doesn't publish a price; all three plans say "Request Pricing" as of September 2, 2026.1 Third-party reports put it at $100-150 per office user and $100-125 per technician a month, so a solo owner with one tech lands around $225 and a shop with two office users and three techs around $500-675 before add-ons.5, 6, 7 One HVAC shop reported $350 a month for one office login and three techs in June 2024.4

Is FieldEdge priced per user?

Yes, for both office and field. Desktop office users and mobile technician licenses are billed separately, and FieldEdge's FAQ says price depends on "how many technicians or employees are on your team."1 Each plan includes a set number of mobile licenses (2 on Select, 4 on Premier, 6 on Elite) with additional licenses sold on top. Office seats aren't bundled the way Jobber and Housecall Pro bundle them.

Does FieldEdge have a setup or implementation fee?

Yes. Reports range from $500-2,000 to $4,000-6,000, and one Capterra reviewer cited $1,500 in onboarding fees.5, 6, 7, 8 The fee covers a five-week implementation with data conversion and training. Subscription billing can start during implementation, and the terms let FieldEdge bill setup delays on your side at time and materials.2

Does FieldEdge require a contract?

The Terms of Service define an Initial License Period set on your order form, automatic 12-month renewals unless you give written notice 60 days before expiry, and an Early Termination Fee equal to the monthly fees for every month left in the term.2 Some shops report month-to-month arrangements.7 Get the license period in writing and diary the notice date.

What does FieldEdge charge for payment processing?

No published rate. FieldEdge Payments (powered by Xplor Pay) advertises next-day funding and volume-based rates.3 Users report 2.7% to 3.4% per card transaction, including one who was quoted 2.7% and billed 3.4%.9 Get the rate, and any per-transaction fee, onto the order form.

Which FieldEdge plan includes service agreements?

All three, at two levels: Select has "Basic" service agreements, Premier and Elite have "Advanced."1 FieldEdge doesn't publicly define the difference. What the module does, and what users report, is on the FieldEdge service agreements page.

Is FieldEdge worth it for a 2-3 truck shop?

It's a stretch below four trucks. At reported rates a 3-tech shop with two office users pays $500-675 a month plus setup, against about $149-199 for Housecall Pro Essentials or Jobber Connect at five users, with no implementation fee or 12-month term. FieldEdge earns its price when you need the live QuickBooks Desktop sync, advanced dispatching across several trucks, or its agreement module, and you have the office staff to carry a five-week implementation. The shop-size picks across all the major FSMs are in the best HVAC maintenance agreement software comparison.

How does FieldEdge pricing compare with ServiceTitan, Jobber and Housecall Pro?

Below ServiceTitan, above the other two. Contractors put ServiceTitan at several hundred dollars per technician a month; a shop with 3 office users and 6 techs reported about $1,800 a month.4 FieldEdge runs $100-150 per user by third-party estimates. Jobber is $29-529 a month flat by team band, and Housecall Pro is $59-329 a month with 1, 5 or 8 users included. The full breakdowns: ServiceTitan pricing, Jobber pricing and Housecall Pro pricing.
